  • Dr. Testiler helps women adjusting to the challenges of motherhood during pregnancy, postpartum, parenting toddlers, tweens, and teens, and trying to get pregnant

Balancing the Chaos and Joy of Motherhood

Is motherhood turning out to be a lot harder than you expected? Are you feeling ashamed for even feeling that way? You’re not alone. As a mom of three, I know firsthand how amazing—and overwhelming—motherhood can be. I understand how hard it is to take care of yourself when you’re so busy taking care of everyone else.

I enjoy working with moms who want to make therapy part of their self-care routine, no matter what stage of motherhood you may be in. Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or parenting toddlers, teens, or anyone in between, having a space where you can be completely honest about the highs and lows can make all the difference. When you take care of yourself, it’s so much easier to feel good about taking care of your kids too.

I am especially passionate about helping moms who are struggling with depression and anxiety, whether they are experiencing this before or after giving birth. My personal and professional experience with perinatal issues has led me to pursue specialized training in this area. I am currently completing requirements to become a certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) through the Postpartum Support International organization.

  • Dr. Testiler helps Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents set healthy boundaries in their relationships

    Setting Boundaries in Relationships

Do you often feel invalidated or dismissed by someone in your life? Are you left feeling emotionally and physically drained after interacting with them? Does it seem like you’re always giving more than you’re getting in the relationship, yet still feeling like you’re not “good enough”? These kinds of relationships can be complicated, disappointing, and exhausting.

I work with adults who want to process the challenges and disappointments in their relationships while learning how to set healthier boundaries and communicate effectively. My training and experience working with Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents is often helpful in these situations, as early family dynamics can deeply shape how we see ourselves and our roles in current relationships. If you grew up in a dysfunctional family, you may still be healing from past wounds that create challenges in your current relationships. We can explore this together in therapy to help you gain greater clarity, confidence, and peace in your relationships.

  • Dr. Testiler helps undergraduate and graduate students with mental health concerns while in college

Navigating the College Years and Beyond

How many times have you heard someone say, “College is the best time of your life!”? But is it really? For many traditional college students (ages 18-24), those years can be incredibly tough, even if it seems like everyone else is living their best life.

For non-traditional students juggling school, work, and family, it can feel like there’s no room to breathe. And for students approaching graduation or those already stepping into the "real world," the uncertainty can feel both overwhelming and intimidating.

With 8 years of experience in college counseling centers, I understand the unique challenges both undergraduate and graduate students face as they try to balance personal growth with academic and career goals in an increasingly complex world. I’m here to help students find ways to manage stress, set realistic goals, and build confidence so they can thrive both personally and academically.
